The origin of "porter"; is a person stationed at a door or gate to admit or assist those entering; one who carries. Founders Heather and Dave Denison’s mission is to be Porters of Books, to admit and assist all who enter with books that entertain, enlighten, empower, and educate.

Ashiro

From the creative and culinary minds behind Vestige Downtown Ocean Springs, Alex and Kumi are out to create another kind of food experience in our small, coastal town. Ashiro Restaurant will be an exploration of the relationship between farm and restaurant, permaculture, sustainability, and community.

Sustainable Garden

The Collective’s center will be the sustainable garden and food forest that will be grown in the midst of downtown Ocean Springs with a focus on permaculture. Permaculture is a set of design principles centered on creating holistic and integrated systems by simulating or directly utilizing the patterns and resilient traits observed in natural ecosystems, such as forests.
